Interviewer: Please introduce yourself.

Cristina- My name is Cristina Dimate. I’m 64 years old and I’m a seismologist.

Interviewer: Where did you spend most of your time before the pandemic?

Cristina- I used to work in a office complex in the center of Bogota, and I spent most of my time there.

Interviewer: Before the pandemic, ****who did you spend the most time with? How about now?

Cristina- I used to spend most of my time with a small group of coworkers. Now I spend most of my time with my family (siblings, mother).

Interviewer: I’m curious about what happened with people’s relationship with their bodies. Did your relationship with your body change because of the pandemic?

Cristina- Absolutely. My body now is more aware of the environment. I my particular case, as I moved outside of the city, I have a relationship with nature, with air, with trees. Several times per week I talk long walks in nature. I have trees outside my window.

Interviewer: So these changes have had a positive psychological impact on you?

Cristina- Yes, they absolutely have. The feeling of open-space, nature and clean air, makes me more healthy.

Interviewer: It seems many people made great realizations because of the pandemic. They re-evaluated their life priorities/relationships, etc. Was this also your case?

Cristina- I don’t think I steered my life in another direction, or that I changed my priorities, but I have to acknowledge that the pandemic did give me the opportunity to spend time with others that I wouldn’t have spent otherwise. Specially with my mother and my brother.

Interviewer: Did your friendships change because of the pandemic?

Cristina- My friendship relationship were, mostly, my coworkers, whom I have not seen in two years. With our other few friends, we made efforts to keep in touch during the first year of the pandemic, but it became increasingly difficult. I think the lack of physical contact and offline-meetings have definitely affected negatively our friendships.
